*Application Fee Waiver for NORAM Students

Students applying to Langara College through NORAM are eligible for a CAD 155 application fee waiver.

You’ll be asked to provide:

  • Your intended program and start term

  • Academic documents (transcripts, diplomas, or other relevant records)

After your documents have been reviewed, you’ll receive the waiver code and step-by-step instructions for completing your application.
Please note that the waiver cannot be applied retroactively. If you’ve already submitted your application and paid the fee, refunds are not possible.

Application Steps

Step 1: Connect with Langara’s representative

Start by contacting Langara’s representative. Share your intended program, start term, and electronic copies of your academic documents, such as transcripts, diplomas, English test results, and your passport ID page. Additional documents may be required depending on your program. Inquire about application fee and scholarship opportunities.

Step 2: Apply to Langara

Once your documents are reviewed, you can submit your online application through Langara’s portal. Complete your student profile, upload all required documents, and use your fee waiver code when prompted.

Step 3: Receive your offer of admission

Applicants who meet the requirements will receive an Offer of Admission. If you have not yet graduated, your offer will be conditional on completing high school by July 31.

Step 4: Apply for the international regional entrance award

After receiving your offer, you can apply for the International Regional Entrance Award. Scholarship application deadlines may differ from program application deadlines, so it’s important to apply early to ensure you’re considered.

Step 5: Pay the tuition deposit

To confirm your place and receive your visa documents, pay the CAD 6,000 tuition deposit. This payment is required even if you’re selected for a scholarship.

Step 6: Receive visa support documents

Once your deposit has been processed, you’ll receive:

  • Receipt of Payment

  • Letter of Acceptance

  • Provincial Attestation Letter

You can then begin your study permit (student visa) application through the appropriate Canadian consulate.

Step 7: Receive award confirmation

Students selected for the International Regional Entrance Award will receive an official award letter. While this letter is not required for your visa, you may include it as supporting documentation.

Step 8: Course registration

Two to three months before classes begin, you can register for courses. To maintain full-time status, you must register for at least 9 credits. International student advisors are available to help you with course selection and registration.

Step 9: Confirm visa approval

You must confirm your visa approval by the deferral deadline (typically about one month before the semester starts). Students are expected to attend from the first day of class. If you anticipate a late arrival, approval must be obtained in advance from each instructor.

Step 10: Pay remaining fees for the first term

The CAD 6,000 deposit may not cover your full first-term tuition and fees. Any remaining balance must be paid before the fee payment deadline to avoid deregistration. Students receiving an entrance award will have a temporary hold placed on their account while the award is applied.
