Study and Research Scholarships
|Scholarships to Norwegian students to pursue a Bachelor's Degree at one of our 24 cooperating universities and colleges in the United States and Canada. |
Scholarships to Norwegian citizens for graduate study and research in the U.S and for American citizens to study in Norway. Award amounts range from USD 2,000 to USD 20,000.
Other scholarship programs for Norwegians to the US include: a Professional Development Award; The Alf and Bergljot Kolflat Award for Engineers and Architects; and the Ambassador Robert D. Stuart Jr. Fellowship for young, Norwegian politicians.
Scholarship programs for US students and scholars to Norway include: The Norwegian Marshall Fund; The Norwegian Thanksgiving Fund; The John Dana Archbold Stipend; and the American Civilization Lecture Fund.
Summer Course for Teachers
|Financial support for Norwegian participants at Luther College's 2-week Summer Course for Teachers. The course provides participants with an increased understanding of the diversity and complexity of the United States.|
Ambassador Robert D. Stuart Jr. Fellowships
|Enables emerging Norwegian political and governmental leaders to engage in a year of study and practical experience in Washington, DC. |

|The administration of NORAM depends on the generous support of our private members and the Norwegian business community. Scholarships are financed from private funds in the U.S. and Norway.|
|NORAM shares both an office, located in Oslo, and Executive Director with The Norse Federation. The Norse Federation is a nonprofit organization that works to strengthen cultural and personal ties between Norway and Norwegians abroad. |
NORAM also works closely with the American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF); Thanks to Scandinavia, Inc; the American and Canadian Embassies in Oslo; U.S.-Norway Fulbright Foundation; ANSA; SIU; American College of Norway; AmCham; Research Council of Norway; and others.
